# I can't record my video

The video is recorded on the site itself, through the browser. There is no need to download an app, and you cannot choose a video from the gallery: the recording is done live.

## On the computer

1. In **Select the video recording method**, choose **Record via WebCam** or **Record via Phone**.
2. **Record via Phone** shows a link and a QR Code: open it on your phone and record there.
3. Record, check in **Test Recording** and tap **Send Video**. To redo before sending, use **Record Again**.

## On the phone

Tap the **Record via Phone** box. On some phones, like iPhone with Chrome, the device camera opens: record and confirm to send.

## Duration

The maximum time is set by the company for each question (from 10 seconds to 15 minutes) and appears on screen. If exceeded, the message **The video exceeded X seconds, please record again.** appears. If the prompt requires more time than allowed, contact the company.

## Camera and microphone

- If **Camera or microphone blocked** appears, tap the icon next to the site address and allow camera and microphone access.
- On the phone, also check browser permissions in the device settings.
- Black or gray screen: close other apps using the camera, like video calls, and check permissions.

## Browser

Use updated Google Chrome. If **Your browser is not compatible to answer this question** appears, switch to Chrome. On iPhone, keep the system and browser updated.

If allowed by the company, **Answer by audio** also appears.

## Attempts

If the questionnaire has a limit on attempts, leaving the page or reloading to switch browsers uses one attempt. When the error is system-related (camera or sending), one attempt is returned. Check camera and browser before starting.

## If nothing works

Open a ticket in **Report an error** > **Problems with video and questionnaire**, including your device, browser, and a screenshot. If the deadline is near, notify the company.
